"freedance" is composed of leader David Phillips on acoustic bass, Rez Abbasi on guitars, John O'Gallagher on alto saxophone and Tony Moreno on drums and percussion. It is cooperative ensemble that presents original material bridging different stylistic forms of music. The performers, all based in New York City, view this group as an opportunity to develop a musical identity using both improvisation and composition. A "freedance" approach.
